Why Sri
Lanka?
A Small Island with a Remarkable Night-Sky Opportunity
Sri Lanka has the potential to develop Astro-Tourism by combining its geographical diversity, natural environments, cultural heritage and tourism infrastructure with the experience of the night sky. Astro-Tourism becomes more attractive when the night sky can be experienced together with nature, wildlife, landscapes, culture and local communities. Sri Lanka provides these combined experiences within a relatively compact geographical area.
