The Arthur C. Clarke Institute for Modern Technologies (ACCIMT) is a national research institution housing Sri Lanka's largest operational optical telescope — a 45cm (18-inch) GOTO Cassegrain reflector donated by the Government of Japan in 1996. The institute's Space Applications & Astronomy Division conducts research in exoplanets, variable stars, and asteroseismology.
