About this Event
A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, casting a reddish shadow on the lunar surface. This event will be partially visible from Sri Lanka.
Photography Tips
- Always use a certified solar filter for solar eclipses. Never look directly through the viewfinder without one.
- Use a telephoto lens (200mm or longer) to get a close-up.
- Bracket your exposures, especially during totality.
